I studied Medicine at Leeds University, and Psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital and Institute of Psychiatry in London. I am a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and I am fully registered with the General Medical Council. I am on the specialist register for General Adult Psychiatry.
I have extensive experience in assessing and treating a broad range of Adult Psychiatric conditions, including depression, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, adult ADHD, depersonalisation disorder and perinatal disorders.
In my NHS work I run a specialist clinic for individuals with difficult-to-treat mood disorders (bipolar and unipolar depression).
I also run a discrete private clinic in London, which treats adults with a wide variety of psychiatric conditions. While medication is often an important part of treatment, my approach is holistic and multi-disciplinary. I work with experienced cognitive-behavioural and analytical therapists, physical trainers and career advisers. Complimentary and alternative physical approaches are available. Mind and body interact in many ways so physical health checks are important alongside mental health checks.
My research interests help to develop new treatments in depression and I can provide the most up to date solutions for this disabling condition. I regularly attend international conferences.
